As soon as it was published in 1952, the novel Charlotte's Web by EB White became an instant children's classic. The movie captures the magic of this wonderful story of friendship. Wilbur the pig is best friends with a little spider named Charlotte and so, when he begins to worry that he will soon end up as dinner for the family who own him, he turns to the clever Charlotte for help. As the two devise a plan to save him, what emerges is a beautiful movie for film fans of all ages.
The sheep-pig returns, this time to raise money for an ailing Mr Hoggett on a trip to the city with Mrs Hoggett. An underrated gem.
