Synopsis

The Bear sets its story in nature at its wildest and succeeds in evoking our sympathy for a magnificent and often misunderstood animal. Tracing the first year in the life of an adorable brown bear cub, the films begins with the tragic death of his mother in an accident. The lonely cub attaches himself to a wounded adult male, who is initially aggressive - but soon he comes to accept the youngster and they face the trials of life in the wild together. The result is an eco-conscious classic.
