As we prepare to leave the European Union, we take a moment to reflect on our relationship with continental Europe, their respective film industries, film culture and history, with significant film titles from the past and present.
Each country represented, including the UK, has their own unique ‘cinematic voice' but the themes addressed by the filmmakers are, more often than not, universal.
This resource is made up of a Powerpoint presentation with activities and teacher's notes designed to enhance your experience of visiting the festival and can be used before or after viewing a film that is part of the Visions of Europe: Our History, Our Futures strand.
