Development
The first stage in which the ideas for a film are developed, the script is written and ideas are presented to help secure funding.
Pre-Production
Preparations for the shoot are made including hiring cast and crew, selecting locations, building sets, sourcing or creating costumes and props and creating the storyboard.
Production
The raw video footage and audio soundtrack is recorded during the film shoot in accordance with the script and storyboard.
Post-Production
The editing of the film, adding sound (which includes the soundtrack, sound design elements and recorded sound) plus the creation of visual effects are completed.
Exhibition & Distribution
The film is promoted to festivals and competitions, showcased at screenings and watched on screens by audiences.
