Synopsis

A weird little being called Stitch (created as a result of a scientific experiment) has escaped from the prison of his evil creator. He crash lands on the relatively peaceful Island of Hawaii, planet Earth. To blend in, Stitch pretends to be a dog, and is adopted by a lonely girl called Lilo and her older sister Nani. At first, Stitch plans to use Lilo as a shield to protect himself from the aliens who are after him. But Stitch soon realises that Lilo genuinely cares for him and his once-hostile attitude to friendship and family change.

What our educators say

"It really is a chance for us to open children's minds to the power of film not just as a vehicle for entertainment but also as a way in to understanding their own world and the worlds of people whose lives are very different."

- Marlon Perkins, Teacher, Whitstable and Seasalter Endowed CofE Junior School, Kent
