Synopsis

After proving himself during the French Revolution, a Corsican officer named Napoleon Bonaparte quickly rises through the military ranks, gaining attention for his tactical skill and bold decisions. His victories earn him national acclaim, ultimately leading to his coronation as Emperor. But as Napoleon expands his empire, he faces growing resistance both abroad and at home. His wife Joséphine stands alongside him in his public triumphs and failures, but she is also distant, and their turbulent relationship deeply affects Napoleon and influences key turning points in his life. His quest for dominance repeatedly drives the brilliant yet complex leader into conflict, culminating in disastrous mistakes that begin to unravel his control. With grand battle sequences and political intrigue, this loosely biographical film explores themes of power, legacy, and obsession, offering an insight into one of the most controversial figures in European history, whose ambition reshaped the continent.
