Synopsis

Filmed over almost five years in 25 countries, this stunning global tapestry of images and music puts our time on Earth under the microscope. With no dialogue or voiceover to disrupt the mesmerising visual flow, you’re left to interpret the lush sequences for yourself, as time-lapse photography and other advanced techniques are used to explore the experience of being human, from birth to death and beyond. Jaw-dropping natural landscapes and peaceful, spiritual wonders contrast with the hurly-burly of urban life: all captured in incredible detail that makes even the most ordinary situations seem extraordinary. The end result is a thought-provoking snapshot of the world and its population that demonstrates how every one of us interconnects despite our many differences.

What our educators say

"We are currently screening The Wizard of Oz, profound film that it is, and the last film Wall-E. It's been rewarding observing the KS1 6 year olds run the gamut of emotions from wonder to sadness to joy. "
