Supporting our vision of putting film at the heart of children and young people's education, the Into Film Festival is the largest youth-focused film festival in the world.
This year's Into Film Festival takes place between 7-28 November, and will once again feature thousands of free screenings and special events right across the UK. In 2024 we welcomed almost 400,000 attendees, and this year's Festival promises to be even bigger, with over 3,000 events taking place across more than 600 venues.
From film screenings and special previews, to Q&As with filmmakers and inspiring careers workshops, the Into Film Festival is an excellent way to engage young people in the world of film and cinema, and offer tantalising insights into potential future careers in the screen industries.
Places will be available to book from the morning of Wednesday 10 September, and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, so add a reminder to your calendars now to ensure you don't miss out, as many events will book up very quickly. And remember - the Into Film Festival is entirely free!
The Into Film Festival is a great opportunity for our pupils to visit the cinema for a film premiere. The film itself was an entertaining documentary about climate change, providing the pupils with very important information about what is going on in the world, and how we can all contribute to make a positive difference.

Many of the films showing as part of the Festival will be accompanied by a film discussion guide, while some titles will have additional resources that further support curriculum learning. Plus, our Festival Review Writing Competition asks young people to review the films they see at the Festival, encouraging literacy and adding further educational value to this unique cinema experience.
The Into Film Festival is the largest event of its kind in the world, and the 2024 edition hosted almost 400,000 attendees, over 2,500 screenings and events, across almost 500 venues. These included special previews, showings of recent releases, and airings of cinematic classics, with a number of special guests and film industry professionals on hand to introduce events and hold special Q&A sessions with young audiences.

The Into Film Festival is possible thanks to the support of Cinema First and multiple partners across the cinema sector.
