A young girl called Nelly is visiting her mother's childhood home, while her parents clear out the house. Nelly's grandmother has just died, so the whole family is sad, trying to come to terms with the loss. One day, as she is out exploring, Nelly meets another little girl called Marion, who looks strangely familiar and discovers a perfectly-formed woodland den. The children become friends.
