Training
Explore more of our Into Film training offer.
Designed for educators of young people aged 5-11.
In this interactive session, you'll be guided through a variety of mindfulness exercises, using highlights from feature and youth-made films.
You'll try out practical, film-focused activities that explore key mindfulness practices from grounding techniques to emotional awareness exercises. You'll also learn how these, in turn, can help young people to better understand the connection between their feelings, thoughts and actions.
By the end of the session, you will feel more confident in using film to support young people approaching challenging circumstances, such as exams and transition. You'll also have all the resources you need for facilitating the activities with your learners.
The session is a part of Into Film's Wellbeing training, which also includes Mindfulness Through Film and Staying Safe Online. In this suite of sessions, we explore how film can be a powerful tool for developing empathy, exploring impact through ‘what ifs' and discussing difficult issues faced by the character, all at a level removed from issues that a young person may be facing themselves.
The knowledge and expertise shared is excellent. Resources are thoroughly well planned and pitched perfectly for young people.
