Last year, to celebrate the cinema release of Illumination's seasonal animation The Grinch - the latest adaptation of Dr. Seuss' classic story of the grumpy green grouch who rediscovers his compassion at Christmas time - we developed a brand new resource, and ran an inventive new competition, and we're very pleased to reveal the winners. What's more, club leaders can now order The Grinch from the Into Film catalogue to enjoy in their club.
Our Grinchmas Spirit resource helps to engage students aged 7-14 with English literacy, PSHE, and design & technology learning, all through creative writing and design tasks that explore the holiday spirit, the importance of generosity and why we all can feel particularly Grinchy from time to time…
Our related Grinchmas Spirit competition asked young people to design a gadget that would help someone they know by bringing happiness and joy into their lives. We were blown away by the dazzling creativity on display, but we eventually narrowed it down to 10 winners, all of whom receive a Grinch goody bag for their amazing creations.
