WOW this film is pure raw emotion no matter how tough you are you will struggle to watch this film which is a good thing because what people have to know is that the events in this film really occurred
the film is based on a in real life Spanish but in the film English / Scottish family who were caught in the 2004 tsunami on boxing day while on holiday from the bat we get invested in all the character's and there struggle as they are split up the film at first takes place from Naomi watts perspective then Ewan McGregor then both
of course the film has to have great performances Naomi watts is great a the mother who without a doubt goes through the worst of the family Ewan McGregor as always is great as the man who has the most choices to make the kids are good but tom Holland is amazing as we see him have to help his beaten mother throughout this whole film and how he develops as a character
but this film is also very hard to watch and at times scary because not only does the mother especially go through tons of pain but imagine what has been in the water but above the pain and agony the film has a very heart warming feel as we follow this family through the disaster and we also see the affects on other people in the tsunami
the impossible has a horrible disaster but a ray of sunshine at the end of the tunnel that inspires us and tells us everything is gonna be alright
in my opinion it is the perfect film not the best of all time but one of them and you will not be bored at all and amazing film well worth seeing
