Synopsis

Despereaux isn't like other mice. For a start, he has massive ears - even for a mouse. More importantly, he can read. In addition, he has almost no fear, which might not be the wisest course for such a small creature. But Despereaux's bravery could make him the only one able to save the princess and bring the sun back to a kingdom that has been sunk in misery for many years. This is a funny and stylish animated adventure that will particularly appeal to our younger members - and perhaps a few older ones too!

What our educators say

"It really is a chance for us to open children's minds to the power of film not just as a vehicle for entertainment but also as a way in to understanding their own world and the worlds of people whose lives are very different."

- Marlon Perkins, Teacher, Whitstable and Seasalter Endowed CofE Junior School, Kent
