Fievel is a Russian mouse who, along with the rest of his family, flees his homeland and persecution by cats for a new life in America. However, on their journey, a violent storm at sea separates young Fievel from the rest of the Mousekewitzs - so when he eventually reaches his new country, he must embark on an epic quest to find them. This animated family adventure explores the American immigrant experience, dealing with themes of new beginnings and prejudice with sensitivity.
