Synopsis

Arthur Seaton reckons he's got life sorted. He works hard in a factory during the week so he'll have the cash to spend on the things that he considers most important - sharp suits, beer and girls. His devil-may-care attitude soon gets him into trouble however when he embarks on a relationship with a married woman. Although this film was made almost fifty years ago, Arthur's attitude - and the problems that come with it - remain timeless, and the plot and the rest of the cast are essentially there to back up one of the great British film characters in a movie that's a time capsule of the early 1960s, while still being relevant to modern life.
