This fun family film has a topical environmental message as well as lots of adventure and some great creature effects courtesy of the Jim Henson Creature Workshop - who also worked on the Harry Potter series. When an oil company sends Sean Campbell to a remote lake to recover lost drilling equipment, his ten-year-old son Mac has to come too. Mac makes friends with a young Native American girl, and together they discover the cave of the amazing Mee-Shee - a giant underwater creature previously thought to be strictly a myth, but whose home now needs protecting from destruction.
This film has a couple of uses of mild bad language, contains moderate violence and mild scary scenes.
