Young Angus MacMorrow knows that his father may have been killed fighting for his country in WWII. Out one day on the beach near his house, he finds a huge and mysterious egg - from which hatches a strange-looking beast he names Crusoe. Angus and the sweet-natured and loveable Crusoe soon form a powerful bond. But eventually the time is going to come when the Water Horse is going to have to leave for the open sea - so will it be able to leave the loch safely? Having won comparisons to the children's classic film ET, this is an incredibly warm and likeable movie, which never underestimates your intelligence, and is all the more enjoyable as a result.
This film contains mild language and fantasy danger.
