Synopsis

In ancient China, a warlord lives in constant fear of his life as opposing states plot against him. However, one day word comes to him that a nameless man has defeated the three most deadly assassins who have been threatening his life - but can he trust the unassuming hero's story? Director Zhang Yimou's fable is a visual treat, with amazingly choreographed martial arts scenes set against dazzling and luscious backdrops.

What our educators say

"We are currently screening The Wizard of Oz, profound film that it is, and the last film Wall-E. It's been rewarding observing the KS1 6 year olds run the gamut of emotions from wonder to sadness to joy. "
