Mira, a children’s author and illustrator, is struggling to rebuild her life after a tragic accident claims the life of her fiancé. Meanwhile, a journalist called Rob also living in New York City has to write a heartfelt piece about the singer Céline Dion, whose famous power ballads currently don’t chime so well with his own broken heart. Rob begins receiving mysterious texts on his new work phone and realises that he must have been assigned someone else’s old number. He doesn’t know it yet, but the messages are Mira’s way of processing her lost love. Their chance meeting sparks an unexpected connection, but both carry emotional scars that threaten to pull them apart. Guided by Céline’s wisdom and their growing bond, Mira and Rob must decide whether to embrace love again. A tender exploration of grief, hope, and the power of music, this film also reframes epistolary storytelling with modern communication methods.
