Synopsis

This non-dialogue animated short film beautifully conveys the story of a young girl who grows up with a dog in her house, from her first years as a baby through to her teenage and even adult years. They do everything together: eating, playing, walking through the various seasons… and they are always there for each other. Until they are not. A Dog By Your Side is a heartfelt tribute to the affection we have for our pets and the important role they play in so many people’s lives.

What our educators say

"We are currently screening The Wizard of Oz, profound film that it is, and the last film Wall-E. It's been rewarding observing the KS1 6 year olds run the gamut of emotions from wonder to sadness to joy. "
