After the events of ‘Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle’, Spencer, Martha, Bethany and Fridge have moved on with their lives. But with Spencer and Martha’s long-distance relationship on a break, he’s struggling to maintain the confidence and strength he found in the world of the game through his avatar. Spencer therefore decides to travel back into the world of Jumanji, with his friends following suit to rescue him. But with the game glitching, only Martha and Fridge are sucked into the world of Jumanji, along with Spencer’s grandfather Eddie and his old pal Milo, with Bethany left behind. As a result, chaos ensues inside the game – which has seen some changes of its own – with new terrain, characters and abilities, although the rules stay the same. And this time, they don’t get to choose their avatars, with hilarious results. ‘Jumanji: The Next Level’ is a fun sequel which adds enough fresh ideas while remaining faithful to the films that came before it.
Scott Pilgrim finally meets the girl of his dreams but must fight for her affection in this highly stylised, energetic action comedy.
