Alex Honnold is a free solo climber – that is, he uses no ropes or safety gear – who dreams of conquering the 3,200ft high El Capitan rock in Yosemite National Park, California. But as he trains towards this feat achieved by no other climber before him, things begin to change in Alex’s life: his body begins to give way to injuries, and a developing romance suddenly means he has even more to lose. Acting as both an edge-of-your-seat thriller and an examination of human spirit, ‘Free Solo’ is an inspirational celebration of one of the most daring acts in the history of extreme sports, all captured in incredible detail with exquisite, close-up camerawork.
This thrilling documentary centres on the most dangerous race in history - the Isle of Man TT - a ferocious 100-year-old motorbike battle.
