Synopsis

In his third solo adventure, Thor, the mighty god of thunder returns to his native Asgard, only to discover that his older sister Hela, ominously known as the goddess of death, has inadvertently been released from prison. Almost immediately, Thor is overpowered and banished to the far-away planet of Sakaar, where he is forced into a gladiatorial battle against his old friend the Hulk. Along with step-brother and arch-nemesis Loki, and hard drinking warrior Valkyrie, Thor has to find a way back to Asgard to try and prevent Hela’s all-consuming power from destroying the planet and the Asgardian civilization. The emphasis is firmly on fun and silliness, together with a warm tone borne out of genuine affection for its characters, in this hugely entertaining crowd-pleaser.

What our educators say

"We are currently screening The Wizard of Oz, profound film that it is, and the last film Wall-E. It's been rewarding observing the KS1 6 year olds run the gamut of emotions from wonder to sadness to joy. "
