Bullied at school and ignored at home, Jim lies compulsively to add interest to his otherwise drab existence of dogwalking and lone cinema-going. When his dog goes missing, Jim hasn’t got much else going for him until a mysterious new neighbor named Dean takes an interest in Jim’s plight. Allowing himself to be moulded in Dean’s image, Jim hopes his transformation will secure social success and the girl of his dreams- but inevitably it’s not quite so simple. A quirky writer-director debut from Craig Roberts (who also stars) that is rich in cinematic influences.
