An 11-year-old girl discovers as the result of a class project on blood types that she’s adopted in this sweetly sentimental Canadian coming-of-age film. Clutching onto the notion because of a peculiar birthmark that country singer Dolly Parton could be her biological mother, she goes on a road trip to seek her out at a concert. Her adoptive mother sets out on her trail, setting them on a journey that will change them both. It’s set amid stunning prairie landscapes in the 1970s, and has an important message that love and family come in all different shapes and sizes.
A beautiful animation about a group of teens trying to save their beloved clubhouse from demolition, set around the 1964 Olympics in Tokyo.
