Synopsis

The epic rivalry between Formula One drivers James Hunt and Niki Lauda is the subject of this exhilarating drama from Apollo 13 director Howard. Though the racing footage is spectacular, it's as much about the demons that drive the men as the men that drive the cars, and the taut script by Peter Morgan deftly outlines their clashing characters. Hunt was a playboy famed for his drinking and womanising, while Lauda was a methodical perfectionist - and both risked death for the sport they loved. A genuinely thrilling ride.

What our educators say

"We are currently screening The Wizard of Oz, profound film that it is, and the last film Wall-E. It's been rewarding observing the KS1 6 year olds run the gamut of emotions from wonder to sadness to joy. "
