Transition from childhood to adolescence can be a painful time, but also one of discovery, fun and liberation. Sick of their parents' embarrassing mollycoddling and outrageous sanctions, Joe and Patrick — plus peculiar straggler Biaggio — run away to build their own home in the woods, far from the adult world. Testing their newfound independence, they make a solemn pact to be their own men, boil their own water and kill their own food. This coming-of-age comedy finds the humour in the communication meltdown that occurs between parents and teenagers, and celebrates the joy of being young and free in summer.
