Synopsis

In a significant change from the TV sitcom Friends that made him a famous actor, David Schwimmer directs this powerful, well-acted and sensitively handled drama that warns people can be far from what they seem on internet chat. Annie, a 14-year-old teen living in Chicago, develops a crush on Charlie, a guy she meets online in a volleyball chat room. The revelation he’s much older than he pretended unsettles her – but she’s reluctant to abandon their relationship. The crime he commits against her reverberates through her whole family, and is especially difficult for her ad executive father to cope with...
