We're in The Netherlands during World War II, under brutal German occupation. By accident - plus his own decision to open an envelope not addressed to him - teenage Michiel ends up helping out a British pilot who has crashed and is trying to stay out of the hands of the Nazis. Don't expect straightforward heroics here - this film is all about the impossible choices people have to make during war, no matter what age they are.
Harrowing account of the Jewish concentration camp prisoners forced to counterfeit money for the Nazis, and the horrors of the inmates around them.
