It's the late 1980s, and James is supposed to be heading off on holiday to Europe after finishing college. But his parents have run into money trouble, so instead he gets a job working a grimly rundown amusement park in his hometown. Over the course of the summer, he makes friends, falls in love and makes plenty of mistakes. A charming film, from the sharp script to the perfect casting, with a great soundtrack.
Coming-of-age comedy from famed indie director Richard Linklater, about the last day of high school in 1970s small-town Texas.
