Synopsis
Roddy St. James is a spoilt pet mouse who lives in a large apartment in Kensington, London. While his owners are away on holiday, a sewer rat named Sid emerges from the sink’s drain and decides he wants to watch the World Cup Final which happens to be on TV. Roddy attempts to get rid of Sid by flushing him down the toilet, but Sid turns the tables on the mouse and banishes Roddy into the sewers instead. Roddy finds himself in Ratropolis, a sewer city made out of various bits of junk which resembles London. There he is told to seek out a resourceful scavenger mouse by the name of Rita Malone who may be able to help him find his way home. ‘Flushed Away’ is a co-production between DreamWorks and the UK’s Aardman Animations which is full of comic characters and goofy humour.
