The original, still brilliant Japanese movie about a rampaging lizard-like monster. A nuclear test has woken Godzilla and it is heading for Tokyo, so the Japanese have to decide whether to try to use a super weapon against the monster. Godzilla was made only nine years after atomic bombs were dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and it is easy to understand where the roots of the terror embodied by the big lizard come from.
This film has a couple of uses of mild bad language and contains moderate violence, threat.
