I became an Education Ambassador in 2017 but started collaborating with Into Film in 2015. The thing I enjoy most is being able to meet with so many wonderful people from other schools and organisations, and share the power of film in education.

Being an ambassador gives me opportunities to attend events and learn things that I would never usually have access to.

Education Ambassador, Sarah Davies

Being able to feed into the Into Film programme is important because as teachers, we are there every day seeing what works with our pupils and what needs further focus, so it means that Into Film stay right on the pulse with what is needed in education. Working on the ALN Film in a Fortnight resource has been a highlight for me as well as generally being an advocate for the use of film in ALN settings.

During my time with Into Film, I have delivered several CPD sessions to clusters of schools on the power of film and media literacy, often speaking with over 200 people in one day. I have also contributed to the Into Film Annual Review and used our school media platforms to share their work with parents/carers and the wider school community.

Being an ambassador gives me opportunities to attend events and learn things that I would never usually have access to. I'd recommend that every teacher get involved, as you never understand the impact film can have on your pupils' learning until you do it. After that, I promise you will never go back.

For more information on bringing film to ALN environments, our Into Film Club of the Month for March 2022 saw fellow Welsh teacher, Sadie Pontin discussing how she created an inclusive and creative space for her pupils, as well as her unique school 'cinema experience' and her use of our streaming platform, Into Film+.

Fe ddes i'n Lysgennad i Into Film yn 2017 ond dechrau gweithio gyda'r elusen nôl yn 2015. Y peth dwi'n ei fwynhau orau yw cwrdd â'r holl addysgwyr eraill sy'n gweithio'n galed i dynnu sylw at bŵer ffilm fel arf addysgol.

Mae bod yn lysgennad yn rhoi'r cyfle ifi fynychu digwyddiadau a dysgu am bethau na fydden i'n cael y cyfle i wybod amdanyn nhw fel arall.

LLYSGENNAD ADDYSG, SARAH DAVIES

Mae cael rhoi syniadau a mewnbwn i waith Into Film yn bwysig inni fel athrawon; ry'n ni yn yr ysgol bob dydd ac yn gallu gweld a rhoi cyngor ar beth sy'n gweithio'n dda a beth sydd angen ei ddatblygu, felly mae hyn yn meddwl y bod Into Film yn gallu bod ar flaen y gad a darparu'r hyn sydd ei angen ar addysgwyr. Roedd gweithio ar yr adnodd Pythefnos o Ffilm ADY yn uchafbwynt achos roedd e wedi rhoi'r cyfle ifi dynnu sylw at rôl ffilm I gefnogi myfyrwyr ADY.

Yn ystod fy nghyfnod yn cyd-weithio ag Into Film, dwi wedi mynychu sawl sesiwn hyfforddi yn yr ardal a rhannu fy mhrofiad a syniadau ar ddysgu drwy ac am ffilm, wedi siarad gyda dros 200 o bobl ifanc mewn un diwrnod a chael gwefr cael ysbrydoli eraill. Dwi wedi cyfrannu at adolygiadau blynyddol yr elusen a defnyddio ein dulliau cyfathrebu gyda rhieni i rannu gwaith ffilm ein myfyrwyr.

Mae bod yn Lysgennad wedi rhoi cyfleoed arbennig ifi gan gynnwys mynychu digwyddiadau a dysgu am bethau newydd. Mi fysen i'n annog i unrhyw athro fod yn rhan o'r gwaith gwych yma, mae'n anodd iawn crisialu effaith ffilm are ich myfyrwyr ond mae gweld yr effaith yn arbennig iawn newch chi ddim edrych yn ôl.

I wybod mwy am effaith ffilm ar ADY, beth am edrych ar ein stori diweddara - Clwb y Mis, Mawrth 2022, stori am gamp a gwaith athrawes arall o Gymru, Sadie Pontin. Mae'n trafod sut y mae mynd ati i greu clwb hygyrch a chreadigol I gefnogi eu myfyrwyr ynghyd â sut y mae'n rhoi profiadau sinematig I'w myfyrwyr, a sut mae defnyddio ein system ffrydio newydd, Into Film+
