Created for both music teachers and non-specialists working with young people aged 7-14, this session explores activities to bring film music into your classroom.

Whether you’re looking to teach it as a discrete subject or use music as a creative prompt for oracy, comprehension and writing tasks, you’ll discover activities to:

•   Encourage active listening

•   Embed subject-specific vocabulary

•   Think critically through film music

•   Compose short musical pieces with more control and purpose.

This interactive session will give you the chance to develop your confidence working with film music through simple and fun activities – and you’ll come away with a set of downloadable materials so you can put them into practice with your learners straight away.
