This session explores engaging ways to teach sustainability and climate change through film, helping learners to understand complex environmental issues through powerful visual storytelling.

We’ll introduce how film can be used as a tool for discussion and analysis, supporting learners to explore humanity’s relationship with the natural world while developing critical thinking and media literacy. Using examples from short films, the session highlights how filmmakers communicate ideas, emotions and messages about sustainability.

After the session, you’ll have access to the session presentation, which includes film highlights and guidance to support classroom discussions around sustainability, climate change and environmental responsibility through film.

This session is for educators of 5–18-year-olds. If you are having trouble accessing this session or if you have any additional accessibility requirements, please contact onlinehelp@intofilm.org
