Join Into Film and Julian McDougall, Professor in Media and Education at Bournemouth University, to explore simple activities to embed good media literacy habits in young people.
In this session, you’ll discover strategies to develop these transferable critical analysis skills and hear how evaluating film can support work towards Ofcom’s media literacy outcomes.
You’ll unpick the techniques filmmakers use to construct worlds on film, work with a bank of prompts to evaluate what you see and hear, and consider how these behaviours can empower young people to navigate the media they consume every day.
