Bring the magic of stop motion filmmaking into your classroom – with experts from the studio behind animation classics Wallace and Gromit and Shaun the Sheep.
Animate! with Aardman, supported by Netflix, is a video-led step-by-step guide to creating simple, stop motion masterpieces with young people.
It’s been designed to help produce achievable animated projects using everyday equipment and free stop motion apps. The short sessions can slot into the time you have available – whether you’re looking to spice up any area of your curriculum or harness your learners’ creativity in an after-school club.
Across a sequence of six instructional videos, Aardman directors and crew share their expertise and set live, pausable tasks to directly guide your pupils through each stage of the filmmaking process – from initial idea generation to adding final sound effects.
Along the way, you’ll discover how animation can support learning across the curriculum, pick up practical tips to get the most out of each activity and get access to lesson plans and activity sheets to support you in class.
Watch a preview of what’s coming up in the course and pick up some quick tips to help you plan an animation adventure in your classroom.
