Created to complement Switched On, our Step into Screen Careers resources offer young people a range of information and activities to get them thinking about the types of roles available in the screen industries and target specific aspects of working life. Step into Screen Careers is a versatile series of activity sheets, perfect for engaging students in exploring career paths and building skills which are useful in the screen industries.

The activities encourage young people to think about the practicalities of entering employment, reflecting on their own skills and interests whilst also discovering what it is like to work in the screen industries. They are flexible and can be used individually or grouped together for lessons, homework or independent study.

Updating our resources

We have developed a large catalogue of educational resources since launching in 2013, and some references and terminology will inevitably have dated as society and language evolves. We are aware of this and will be updating resources when our production schedule allows.

What our educators say

"Film is totally part of the curriculum throughout all subjects, at both Key Stages 3 and 4. We couldn't teach here without film!"
