This resource, suitable for ages 7-16, uses feature film and archive film content as stimuli to discuss the life and reign of Queen Elizabeth II. Included is an activity about archive footage of the Queen's coronation in 1953 which is available to view on the Into Film website at https://www.intofilm.org/news-and-views/articles/queen-platinum-jubilee

The activities in this resource are suitable as standalone activities or can be used in a sequence. It is suitable for in-class learning or could be adapted to support an assembly.  

This resource comprises: 

• A Teacher's Notes document which explains the activity outlines and the historical context of each clip used within the presentation, and includes copies of the relevant activity sheets needed for each activity 

• An accompanying Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II: A Life on Screen PowerPoint presentation which includes embedded content from the films and archive footage.
