This film-focused resource enables teachers and pupils to explore what it means to be part of the Commonwealth, gaining insights into the culture and identity of Commonwealth countries and reflecting on life in the UK. The activities included centre on four carefully chosen films from across the Commonwealth that will engage and excite pupils in exploring key themes: Whale Rider; Fly Away Home; Like Stars on Earth and Paper Planes.

This resource has been designed to work across a range of subjects and to enable pupils to develop a range of skills in the following curriculum areas including English and literacy, citizenship, wellbeing and PSHE, art and design and geography.
