To celebrate the recent cinema release of The Marvels, we launched a brand-new learning resource. The Marvels: Be Your Own Hero is a curriculum-linked learning sequence for pupils aged 12 and over, which draws on the characters and themes of Marvel Studios' latest cosmic adventure.
As part of the resource, we ran a Future Heroes competition asking learners to take their reflections from the activities to the next level and illustrate themselves as a hero on a poster - someone who has achieved their goals and who others can look up to.
Congratulations to Amy, age 12, from Portlethen Academy in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, whose entry was chosen as the winner. Amy's superhero alter-ego is named Healzapa, after her special healing ability, which accompanied by her power of flight, allows her to help sick people around the world.
"I feel really good and excited", said Amy upon learning that Healzapa was the overall winner. Amy has won a 3D printer for her class to get creative with.

The entries were judged by Into Film CEO Paul Reeve, who also wanted to give a special shout-out to Roksana, aged 16, from Thriftwood College, a SEND school in Chelmsford, for her entry depicting her colourful alter-ego, Rudolph Red Queen.

The Marvels: Be Your Own Hero, created in collaboration with Marvel Studios, is a curriculum-linked educational resource for learners aged 12 and over which draws on the characters and themes in Marvel Studios' The Marvels.
The Marvels is Marvel Studios' latest action-adventure in which we see the return of Captain Marvel, Kamala Khan aka Ms. Marvel, and S.A.B.E.R astronaut Captain Monica Rambeau in a cosmic team-up to save the universe.
The Marvels: Be Your Own Hero draws on the themes of self-belief and empowerment in the new film to explore how our heroes can inspire us to fulfil our own aspirations.
This new multi-curricular learning sequence can be used in assembly and classroom settings, and helps teachers engage students across PSHE, RSE, English/literacy, and art and design.
