Into Film Clubs
Find out everything you need to know about starting an Into Film Club.
From the 23rd June 14th July we were delighted to run a series of Summer Screenings as an end-of-term treat for Secondary schools across the UK. The screenings offered a range of great films that were perfect for that big screen experience. What better way to mark the end of term than the magic of film and cinema!
I would like to say a huge thank you on behalf of the SEN pupils at Firwood High School. They had an amazing time at the cinema today. For some of them it was their first time in a cinema. The look of awe and amazement from the pupils was priceless.

With 64 free screenings taking place across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland we were able to provide over 3,000 people the chance to enjoy a trip to their local cinema. Titles included a range of great films that were educationally valuable as well as perfect to watch on the big screen. Whether it was the musical coming of age story, Dear Evan Hansen, the crowd-pleasing adventure comedy, The Lost City, or the incredible animation, Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse, there was something for everyone.
Our students are writing a film review following the conventions that film critics/journalists use. English language forms a large part, but also confidence in their writing skills and abilities to analyse. We have a large proportion of pupil premium students who can't afford to go to the cinema. Into Film is a fantastic charity that brings learning to life.

It's always a pleasure to put these screenings on and demonstrate the far-reaching benefits of film and the transformative experience that a trip to the cinema can offer. It's wonderful to hear such positive feedback from educators and to know that the pupils have enjoyed their experience, especially those whose visit was their very first time in a cinema.
Even though it's their home town, many had never visited the cinema before!
Emma, Teacher at Bodmin College
Stay tuned for more free screenings happening later in the year including the Into Film Festival which is running from 8th-25th of November.
