To celebrate the recent cinema release of Zootropolis 2, we launched a brand-new learning resource. Puzzling Partners, created in partnership with Disney, is designed to support self-awareness, working together, and critical thinking among learners aged 6+.
As part of the resource, we ran a 'Zootropolis 2 ID' competition, learners were tasked to imagine that they were a new animal citizen joining the Zootropolis police department and create their own ID card to show everyone who they were and what they could bring to the team.
Congratulations to Isla, aged 11, from Broomleys School in Aberdeen, Coalville.
Isla chose a camel as their identification animal, which was named Sahara ‘Dune' Humyford. We found the name very fitting regarding the animal's desert habitat. In the drawing, there was clear attention to shading, posture, and clothing details. We particularly enjoyed the uniform cut-out fitting around the camel's hump. The camel's special skills seemed researched and were also well-matched to the characters' build.
Isla has won a mammals discovery kit and an animal world map puzzle for the whole class to enjoy. In addition to this, both Isla and her classmates will receive a copy of 'Disney Zootropolis Search and Find Activity Book, Where are Judy & Nick?'. Check out Isla's winning entry below.
Zootropolis 2 follows crime-solving partners Hopps and Wilde as they tackle their toughest case yet. With a snaky suspect tying them in knots, they must level up their teamwork to crack the case and prove themselves as a dream detective duo.
Inspired by the zany world of Zootropolis, Puzzling Partners invites your pupils to join Hopps and Wilde's adventures. A Code Crackers activity supports paired working, and an imaginative design competition offers learners an opportunity to think creatively and express themselves.
