Into Film Clubs
Find out everything you need to know about starting an Into Film Club.
Back in March, we announced our Big Dreams on Screen creative competition; a collaboration with Puffin to mark their 80th birthday and inspire the next generation of storytellers and dreamers.
We received a whole host of truly inspired entries from all over the UK but we're very excited to announce that the overall winner is 12-year-old Faith from Down High School in County Down, Northern Ireland. Check out the brilliant short film that was created from her storyboard at the top of the article and more details about the competition below.
The competition encouraged learners to use their imagination to create a storyboard of their big dream, with the winning entry being transformed into the short film you see now. This was supposed to be screened at the winner's local cinema as part of the Into Film Festival but due to COVID-19 restrictions, it ultimately played at the Puffin Storymakers Show instead. The award-winning show is a free webcast series that gives children in schools across the country the chance to experience the magic of stories. Puffin have one episode each term that features a line-up of story makers discussing their books, allowing pupils to discover how to make stories from the best in the business. It is streamed to thousands of schools around the world - the last show was watched by over 70,000 students.
A huge thanks to Puffin and to all the young people that immersed themselves in storyboarding their big dreams!
