Into Film Clubs

Here at Into Film, we are proud to have long been a great, free resource for teachers exploring careers in the creative industries with their pupils. Our aim is to inform and open young people's eyes to the incredible breadth of opportunities and career paths that are on offer across the screen industries.
The UK has a globally recognised reputation for creating some of the most influential films, TV, animation, and special effects in the world. So, as we approach this year's National Careers Week (7-12 March), we are spotlighting some of these exciting careers opportunities that exist for UK pupils with a wealth of new filmed content and resources.
First up, here's five of our most essential careers resources that are simple and accessible, cover a wide range of topics and are valuable for both primary and secondary students:
We are also excited to announce that throughout Careers Week, Into Film, in partnership with BAFTA, will be hosting eight online sessions with experts in their crafts. They will offer insight into the role of a:
- Film and TV Director
- Location Manager and Producer
- CTO, Technical Director and Engine/Graphics Coder at Romero Games
- DOP (Director of Photography)/Cinematographer
- Games Writer, Programmer and Narrative Director at Ubisoft Stockholm
- Composer
- Costume Designer
- Editor
Each session is open to a different part of the UK so for more information about regional availability, feel free to get in touch at info@intofilm.org. Rest assured as well that many of the above sessions will be filmed and made accessible to a wider audience very soon.

A significant date within this year's Careers Week is International Women's Day on 8 March. Into Film and BAFTA will be celebrating the day with a live Q&A for schools hosted by Film Critic and Broadcaster, Rhianna Dhillon. The panel will feature three women working in the film industry (an actor, director and sound editor) from the BAFTA Breakthrough or Elevate programmes. Meanwhile, the session will focus on underrepresented groups with the aim of inspiring the next generation of women in the sector.
This panel and many of the other previously mentioned careers sessions will be available throughout the coming weeks on the Into Film Careers Hub. That hub also features a wide range of additional resources, articles and regionally specific information that will be fascinating to explore with your students this National Careers Week.
