Into Film Clubs
Find out everything you need to know about starting an Into Film Club.
It's nearing the end of January, which means we're getting close to the submission deadline for entries to this year's Into Film Awards.
Filmmakers, reviewers and club leaders - you only have until 23:59 on 31 January 2018 to submit your entries to be in with a chance of winning an award, presented in person at our star-studded ceremony at the BFI Southbank 13 March 2018. With the deadline fast approaching, remember that if you have any queries or issues with your film or submission, you can always get in touch with us via the Olark live chat (if logged in to our website), via email, or on Twitter or Facebook.
You or your club members don't have to be the next Steven Spielberg (but great if you are!). We just want to see new creative ideas and ways of filmmaking, whether it's using a camera, or even on a mobile phone or iPad. And it doesn't have to take weeks to make your film - many past winners have been made in a single day! And your entry doesn't even have to be a newly made film. If your students have a pre-existing film that they're keen to submit, then please encourage them to do so.
Our Filmmaking page can guide you through the entire process, while filmmaking on an iPad can be a simple and cost effective way to make a short film. And don't worry if it feels like the deadline is creeping up on you... It can take less than a day to complete an entire film. If your students are keen to make a film that could be submitted to the Into Film Awards, download some of our filmmaking resources below to support you and help them to make that a reality.
And don't forget - you can also easily nominate your film club or a teacher/club leader for the Into Film Club of the Year or Educator of the Year awards.
