Into Film is embarking on a new project, in partnership with the National Youth Agency (NYA), to support and inspire filmmaking across youth settings.

The National Youth Agency is the Professional, Statutory and Regulatory Body (PSRB) for youth work in England. They are committed to enabling high quality youth work across a range of settings to benefit the health and outcomes of young people and strengthen local communities.

To kickstart our joint activity, we will be running a training session for youth leaders across the country to get started with their filmmaking journey. The Get Into Filmmaking session will help those working in youth and community groups, library settings and schools develop a range of key skills to help young people increase their love and passion for filmmaking.

Get Into Filmmaking will be delivered on Thursday 6 November 2025 as part of Youth Work Week 2025 which runs from 3-9 November.

This year's Youth Work Week theme, Building Brighter Futures: Safe places, trusted support, and opportunities to thrive, highlights the essential role youth work plays in helping young people feel secure, supported and empowered to reach their full potential.

Following the training session, we will continue to work with a number of youth settings in collaboration with the NYA to continue their filmmaking activity and to help them produce exciting short films, many of which we hope to see entered into the Into Film Awards and our ongoing Film of the Month competition.

This partnership drives forward our aims of working with young people around the country, inspiring them to get into film and thrive via creativity.
