Into Film Clubs
Find out everything you need to know about starting an Into Film Club.
Discover! Creative Careers Week is a relatively new annual event that offers online and in-person activities and encounters with employers, and supports young people to hear directly about different sectors, job roles, career pathways and more, across the thriving creative industries.
There are a huge number of careers sessions and events taking place as part of the Discover! Creative Careers Week programme, taking place from 13-17 November, and we at Into Film are pleased to be offering our own selection of careers-focused events in the coming weeks.
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to work in film production? In this online session - our latest collaboration with Speakers for Schools, held in partnership with independent producers Pact - you will hear industry experts reveal their experiences of working in the creative screen industries, and outline what their jobs in this exciting sector entail.
We will be joined in the session by James Burstall (CEO of Argonon), Sanjay Singhal (CEO of Voltage TV), and Nicola Schindler (Executive Producer and Chief Executive at Quay Street Productions).
The session is completely free, and is aimed at young people in Key Stage 4-5 (or equivalent) and will take place on the afternoon of Tuesday 14 November from 14:00-14:45. Registration closes at Midday on Monday 13 November, so sign up now to ensure you don't miss out!
Discover! Creative Careers Week is the perfect opportunity to make use of our Switched On: Careers in the Screen Industry resource, which was created in partnership with the BFI, and offers careers advice to young people the most up-to-date tools and knowledge about the creative screen industries.
Taking place annually at the iconic Pinewood Studios, Futures Festival is the UK's biggest free screen industry careers event. With the opportunity to meet employers and industry professionals, take part in workshops and attend panels, Pinewood Futures Festival is a perfect visit for those looking to explore a career in the screen industries.
Pinewood Futures Festival takes place on Thursday 24 and Friday 25 November. You can book places, or join the waiting list for a slot now.
Discover! Creative Careers Week itself takes place simultaneously with our very own Into Film Festival, and there are several key events that are perfect for those young people who have an interest in pursuing a career in the film industry. Several films in the Festival will be followed by special talks and Q&A sessions with film industry professionals, including everything from directors, to journalists, to members of the BBFC.
As with everything at the Into Film Festival, all of these events are free to attend, and while some of them are already fully booked, you can still join the waiting list to ensure you're alerted should any places become available.
