Best Marvel Movie Ever!

5 stars

01 Mar 2022

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is one of the best Marvel movies I have ever watched. It's filled with action, mixed with a bit of fantasy. The storyline is fantastic and easy to follow. It is also a marvel movie that finally shows Asian Representation, which is great to see, especially in the world of films. The film is about a guy named Shang-chi (nicknamed Shawn) who tries to live a normal life in San Francisco until he has to face his harsh past. Shawn has two parents who have magical backgrounds, and after one devastating night when Shawn was 7 years old, his whole life changed. His father from then on trained him to be an assassin and find the one responsible for that night. When Shawn was 14, on his first mission to assassinate the leader of the Iron Gang, he ran away. He promised to come back for his sister, Xu Xialing. Did he? You have to watch the film to find out. After he ran away, he sought a life in San Francisco and lived there for 10 years. There, he met his best friend, Katy. One day, in San Francisco, Shawn and Katy were on a bus until they were attacked. This is where everything started, and the challenges they faced next were something you wouldn't expect. This film was great for its storyline and cinematography. The visuals of the scenery and the fantastical animals were very realistic and made the film more magical and enjoyable. The music choice fitted with the chosen scenes, and the camera angles were on point in terms of making a fight look real. The characters and their background were brilliant too. They gave us clear information about who each character was, and each one played a very good part in the story. They even brought in a surprise character from another Marvel movie! This movie brought me all kinds of emotions, such as sadness, laughter, and even sympathy. In conclusion, this film was extraordinary and is one of the many movies that actually made me laugh, and feel sympathy for a character. The story, characters, and visuals all worked together to make this fantastic film and showed cultural aspects. I hope you watch this movie, and if you do, I hope you enjoy it!
