Wreck it Ralph review by Dalvinder 7E

Wreck it Ralph is 3d cartoon animated film about a video game villain who wants to be the good guy for a change. This films character audience is mainly towards children.

In my opinion this film is worth watching and is very comical as Ralph reeks havoc in the arcade also I enjoyed watching this film because it included some of my best loved video game characters such as sonic the hedgehog and browser from the world of Mario. Last but not least I liked the part where some characters have a secret because it kept me at the edge of my seat curiously thinking what would happen next.

What wasn’t so good, in my opinion the film could have used characters such as sonic, browser and such other characters with Ralph and they could have been a part of his quest: being more of a part of the film.

Music and animation, in my opinion this is what made the film what it really is because of the fact that Ralph along with the other characters in the film where 3d animations and there poses and they way they talked- it almost made me feel that the characters where real this film also has superb graphics to enhance the atmosphere being created. Music: this really made feel like I was there in the film because of the classical video game sounds like the ones from Mario and some other video games some of them sounded something like this “doo doo do doo m m m ay” (my apologies if you cannot make a sound from these words and letters- it works better if you think of the music yourself in your head) overall I think the animation and music plays a big part in this film.

Subverting, wreck it Ralph subverts the usual video game where the villain does something evil and it’s up to the hero to fix the problem where as in this film the so called ‘villain’ gets sick and tired of being the bad guy and not being bothered about unlike the way a hero gets treated and he thinks wants to be something that gamers will remember and enjoy instead of hating the usual villain because they cannot pass the level because of him/her.

In conclusion, wreck it Ralph is worth watching for young and old: young because it expands your imagination by giving you a idea of how people used to play video games without a Xbox or Play Station and other consoles in the era before you could just game at home on a console instead of having to go to the arcade this film also offers you lots of laughs. Older people will enjoy this because it will relive their childhood when they would go to the arcade and spend hours of playing games until there eyes started to hurt whilst trying to get the biggest high score and their name up on the leader board, also it will make you feel like that you are relieving the classic games and you are still standing in arcade with your coins in your hand. Overall I would recommend this film to anyone and any age – I will rate this film a five star.
